Being based in such a central location In Cardiff Bay makes getting to us extremely easy and the perfect starting point for any Cardiff Bay Boat Trip Our easily findable, central starting point in the arena of Mermaid Quay, is the best starting point possible and you really feel as though you are right ‘at the centre of it all’ and makes for a very dramatic start to your trip. By Rail
The closest rail station Mermaid Quay is Cardiff Bay. Cardiff Bay train station is about five minutes walking distance follow the signs for mermaid Quay.
By bus
Buses to Cardiff Bay run very frequent from the city canter and there is designated bay bus called the “BAY CAR” other buses the service Cardiff bay include the 1, 2, 8, 35, 36, you can also catch the Cardiff sightseeing buss detail are found on there website.

By Car
Driving to Mermaid Quay is easy there are three car parks within a five minute walk of the boarding area these are Harbour drive pay and display (CF10 4PA) mermaid quay pay and display (CF10 5BZ) and waterside car park (CF10 4PH).
By boat
You can also use the pay and display facility on the visitor pontoons at mermaid quay so you can bring your sailing boat or cruiser over and then come out for a trip with us.
Facilities
Mermaid Quay offers first class baby changing, disabled and male/female toilet facilities for all Cardiff Sea Safaris customers.
Arriving for your trip
Please arrive for your trip at least 30 minutes prior to departure one of our crew will be at the stand to assist you.
Left luggage and buggy area
Unfortunately, we not do have any left luggage facilities at Cardiff sea safaris. Luggage can be taken aboard and our vessels have been designed to allow for storage under each seat. If, however, you require larger items to be stored please arrange this in advance with us by calling 029 2048 7663, we are able to make arrangements to keep your belongings secure and returning them at the end of your experience.
Buggies and pushchairs are not permitted onto our vessels available our boarding staff can store these for you during your voyage. Buggies and pushchairs must be folded completely flat and all items removed.
Restaurants, Cafes and Bars
There are a large amount of restaurants and cafes in the mermaid quay and surrounding area and are definitely worth visiting before or after your voyage. For more information visit:
